PLANNING SUBMITTED FOR NEW 53-HOME RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT IN PENRITH

12th Mar 2026

We are pleased to share that we have submitted a full planning application for a proposed residential development off Inglewood Road, Penrith, comprising 53 new homes, including 15 affordable dwellings to comply fully with Planning Policy.

The proposals have been carefully developed to create a well-connected and sustainable extension to the town, providing a range of new homes within an attractive and thoughtfully planned environment.

A key focus of the design has been connectivity and accessibility, with pedestrian and cycle routes linking the development to the wider network

The scheme also prioritises the natural environment, retaining existing hedgerows and mature trees while introducing new native planting to enhance biodiversity. Surface water will be managed through a Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS), helping to ensure a resilient and sustainable development.

Sustainability is a further key consideration in the design of the homes. The incorporation of solar panels, energy-efficient heating systems and high levels of insulation will help the properties achieve an expected EPC A rating, supporting lower energy use and reduced carbon emissions.

Overall, the scheme seeks to deliver a well-planned and sustainable extension to Penrith, supporting housing growth in line with the Eden Local Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework.

We look forward to engaging with Westmorland and Furness Council, the local community, and key stakeholders as the application progresses.
